The roots of St Nicholas’ Church run deep in the community of Radstock and have been relatively dormant for many years. We have a once in a lifetime opportunity to re-vitalise and re-establish St. Nicholas’ as part of the ecosystem of Radstock, expanding on its current community use.
We will offer new and expanded facilities within the Church, in line with community-stated needs, fit for purpose, 7 days/week. Building on existing facilities and services, we would also like to create space for such things as local artists, businesses, concerts and new community groups. We want to take existing stakeholders - and new ones - into a redesigned Church building with increased facilities.
Funding has been identified to help pay for initial repairs to the building.
Further funding is being explored for the more extensive work.
Meaningful change takes time. In the future, we will seek community input.
